Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp brings characters from the Danganronpa series together at the tropical resort of Jabberwock Island. Its central activity is a 50-turn summer-camp boardgame: players roll a die, move across event-filled spaces, and build a character’s stats as the journey unfolds. Growth and Event Squares support development, while battles, bosses and other encounters can obstruct progress.
That mix of chance and planning gives the boardgame its distinctive rhythm. Talent Squares award fragments used to learn skills; shops and treasure chests offer equipment, and useful cards can shape a run. Character interactions also contribute to growth, so development is not limited to leveling up. The game describes itself as an enhanced version of the boardgame from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, expanded with more than 1,000 event scenes and swimsuit outfits for the cast.
A separate Battle Mode shifts the focus from board traversal to party preparation. Players develop a team of up to four characters and face waves of Monokuma-type enemies in the Tower of Despair, earning medals for victories. Those medals, alongside Monocoins, can be spent in the School Store’s MonoMono Machine for characters and support items.
