In Crime Boss: Rockay City, Travis Baker is chasing control of a city ruled by rival gang leaders. The single-player campaign casts that climb as a roguelite operation: build and manage a criminal crew, earn cash from missions, and pursue permanent unlocks that remain useful after a run ends. Missions are randomized at the start of each run, so players can shape their route through smaller thefts or larger heists rather than follow one fixed sequence.
The game also supports solo missions with bots and cooperative play with friends, including heists for up to four players. Urban Legends offers story-driven missions and mini-campaigns, while Shuffle randomizes missions; Rockay Rumble changes the pace with waves of enemies. Players can adjust difficulty, customize a boss, and equip weapons and perks. A universal progression system spans single-player and co-op, rewarding XP toward unlocks such as weapons, heisters, equipment, and skins.
Across the modes, crew-building and loadout choices sit alongside randomized jobs, offering distinct ways to pursue the broader goal of taking over Rockay City.
