Corpse Keeper is a challenging action RPG set in a grim medieval fantasy world, where the objective is to lead three corpses through exploration and ultimately confront a demon in a cathedral. Its premise makes the party itself part of the danger: these are temporary bodies held together by magic, not a stable band of heroes.
Exploration brings resource and equipment choices, while battles combine sword fighting with skills and defensive options such as parrying, dodging, and rolling. The central pressure is decay: each expedition worsens a body’s condition, and a warrior collapses when decay reaches its limit. Preservatives can slow that deterioration, but cannot reverse it. Fallen fighters can be replaced with new corpses assembled from defeated enemies, so players must continually reconsider their lineup rather than rely on one unchanged squad.
That cycle of attrition and rebuilding gives the game a run-based strategic shape, with resource priorities, equipment specialties, and team composition all affecting preparation for the next challenge. Its seven distinct areas and shifting roster frame the journey as a sequence of demanding tactical decisions.
