Construction Simulator frames construction work as a business-building career. With mentor Hape’s assistance, players establish a company from scratch, take on contracts, earn income, and expand their vehicle fleet. The campaign unfolds across Friedenberg, inspired by southwest Germany, and Sunny Haven, an American-style harbor city. Each map has its own campaign: one focuses on renewable energy and urban infrastructure, while the other centers on revitalizing tourism.
The work is organized around varied contracts and a large selection of licensed machinery, recreated from real-life vehicles. That combination makes the game’s appeal less about a single construction task than about moving between projects, landscapes, and equipment as the company grows.
Construction Simulator supports single-player as well as multiplayer, including co-op, and its description says up to three friends can join multiplayer. Crossplay among PC and consoles is also described, with voice chat capabilities.
