Conquest of Elysium 5 is a quick-turn-based fantasy strategy game with roguelike elements, built around factions that pursue very different paths to power. The goal is to vie for control of the map and conquer Elysium, but a faction’s identity changes what that contest means: a druid can cultivate forests and jungles to gather ingredients for woodland summons, while a dwarf focuses on mines and steadily produced units that are difficult to replace.
Its world extends across ten planes, with some actions and events playing out beyond the main map. Inferno, for example, is home to devils and demons; a banished devil returns there, while destroying a demon lord permanently requires defeating it on its own plane. In the sky-realm, flying armies can descend on Elysium, and routes such as beanstalks, rainbows, and tall mountain spires let ground armies ascend. Random maps, starting spells and rituals, and events ranging from bumper harvests to openings into the underworld add further variation.
The game supports single-player as well as multiplayer formats, including PvP and co-op, with online, LAN, and shared-screen options listed.
