After Ragnarok shatters the world, Cloudheim casts players as a Runari tasked with helping rebuild it. Its adventure moves between islands and dungeons, with exploration, puzzles, enemies and loot feeding into a larger effort to restore the world. The setting also gives that journey a home base: Odin Shell, an ancient turtle in the sky where players build a workshop and make equipment.
Combat stands out for its reactive, breakable environments and physics-driven possibilities. Players can combine abilities with environmental tricks, such as knocking pillars onto monsters or lassoing enemies into tornadoes. Visual crafting supports the action, letting players forge weapons, gear and abilities at the workshop. Beyond fighting and crafting, the game adds a fantasy shop to stock and manage, alongside creatures that help with shopkeeping or turn discoveries into treasure.
Cloudheim supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to four players, with friends able to share unlocked weapons and abilities.
