Clank! casts players as rival thieves venturing into a dragon’s lair for valuable artifacts. The aim is not simply to grab the richest treasure: thieves must also escape alive to enjoy their loot. Deeper exploration can uncover more valuable prizes, but it makes the return journey harder, giving each expedition a built-in tension between pushing onward and getting out safely.
The game blends deck-building with dungeon exploration. Players acquire items, abilities, and allies along the way, while careless sounds risk attracting the dragon’s attention. That makes Clank! distinctive as both a contest for treasure and a test of how much danger to accept before retreating. A guided tutorial introduces the ropes; achievements and challenges offer additional goals, while Heists provide competition against other players.
