Chrono Ark is a single-player, party-based deck-building roguelike RPG built around a journey to restore a world lost to chaos. Lucy awakens on the Twisted Land with little memory and a message pointing her toward the Clock Tower. To bring back the world’s peaceful days, she must assemble an investigation team and gather the Time Shades scattered across the land.
Combat centers on a party of up to four recruits. Skills and perks appear as cards in battle, so players customize characters and combine their cards to build a strategy. The roster, skill cards, items, relics, events, and bosses with distinct patterns give repeated journeys different ingredients to work with. When the party is eliminated, everything gained resets, while further play unlocks more options. That cycle makes team composition and adaptation central to the game’s design.
Because Chrono Ark is specifically a single-player RPG, its player-count context is individual progression through a structured roguelike adventure, rather than cooperative party play. The party is the player’s team within the game: recruiting and training investigators, choosing how their abilities fit together, and pushing toward the Clock Tower form the core experience.
