Chosen 2 is a heroic RPG sequel that begins after Edge defeats Akuma, leaving him stranded in a chaotic underworld. Separated from his companions Serenity, Misty, and Trinity, Edge wakes alone and searches for a way to escape. This setup shifts the adventure from the previous victory toward an uncertain reunion and a journey through the realm below.
The search takes a personal turn when Edge hears a voice from his past and encounters his mother’s spirit, Ayaka. With trusted maiden Sakae alongside them, mother and son set out to find the spirit of Edge’s missing father, hoping the discovery will help Edge escape. The family quest gives the underworld journey a clear emotional goal as well as a practical one.
Investigation also exposes a threat beyond Edge’s predicament: the underworld’s lords are plotting to take over the world above. The game’s distinctive premise brings together a stranded hero, a search for lost family, and a larger danger to the surface world. Edge and his allies must confront that plot while seeking his father and a route out of the underworld.
