Cheap Car Repair casts the player as John, a cash-strapped mechanic trying to keep a dubious workshop running in a remote Polish village during the 1990s. Its comic setup turns penny-pinching into the central dilemma: a repair can be done properly or patched together with questionable substitutes, but a shortcut may unravel and bring an angry customer back to the garage.
The work is hands-on as well as financial. Players patch dents, paint panels, remove rust, clean cars, swap components, and take vehicles apart and reassemble them, with bolts and wheel removal part of the process. Each job asks for a balance between repair quality, cost, and profit. Beyond the shop, the game offers an open countryside to explore, hidden secrets, side missions, and story-driven encounters with eccentric locals; trouble can even leave the workshop needing renovation.
That mix of workshop tasks, business decisions, and open-world activities gives the game a distinctly single-player format, rather than a shared-session focus.
