Chasm casts the player as a newly recruited knight sent to investigate the closure of a mine vital to the Guildean Kingdom. In the mining town, the mystery turns urgent: its residents have vanished, taken by supernatural creatures from below. The quest leads through dangerous encounters and ancient catacombs and castles as the recruit seeks to uncover what happened and restore peace.
Exploration combines hand-designed rooms with a procedurally assembled layout. The story remains the same for everyone, but Chasm connects its crafted spaces into a distinctive world map for each player. Across six areas, players fight monsters and bosses, find equipment, and gain abilities that open routes previously out of reach. Armor, weapons, and spells provide further ways to customize the knight, while retro pixel art shapes the game’s visual identity.
Alongside its main exploration, Chasm includes Arcade Mode with Daily and Weekly Challenges. Its mix of action, exploration, character equipment, and reshuffled room arrangements gives the familiar knightly mission an individually assembled setting.
