Cauldron follows Nyx, a young witch thrown into a world covered in darkness. Exploration and monster battles move her journey forward as she seeks the truth and finds allies. The game’s central progression loop also runs through minigames: playing them earns resources that can improve the minigames themselves, as well as heroes, abilities and items.
Its design combines incremental growth with party-based RPG choices. More than twenty heroes have unique skill trees, and players can organize their party and skills for stronger attacks or build up power enough to make those decisions less demanding. The game also offers an upgradable collection box that gathers resources automatically, alongside an unlockable autobattler that handles fights. That mix gives Cauldron room for both hands-on repetition and more passive progress, rather than insisting on one preferred pace.
Several modes further shape the experience, including Idle, Pacifist and EVIL. Character skits and a snarky pink sidekick add personality to the progression and exploration.
