Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD follows the Belmont family across generations as its members confront their destiny. Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, sets out to avenge his mother, killed by his father Gabriel. Gabriel has become Dracula and declared war on the Brotherhood, bringing the story toward a father-and-son showdown. That family conflict gives the castle-bound adventure a personal stake beyond its battle against Dracula.
Exploration and combat share the focus: players search Dracula’s castle for hidden secrets while taking control of different characters. The game offers 30 combat moves, alongside magic and secondary weapons, giving encounters several tools to draw on. Its action-adventure design therefore pairs a generational narrative with character changes and a substantial combat repertoire, rather than centering on a single playable hero throughout.
After finishing the adventure, players can take on Boss Rush, a fight to the death against the game’s bosses, then post their times online and compare them with friends.
