Carrier Command: Gaea Mission casts you as Lt Myrik, a United Earth Coalition officer sent to Taurus after war has left Earth nearly uninhabitable. The moon’s water supply offers hope, but reaching it means taking command of an armed carrier and fighting across a broad archipelago. The story campaign frames that struggle as a rise from rookie to commander, with enemy forces standing between you and the Dead Zone.
Its defining mix of action and strategy makes the carrier more than a vehicle for crossing the seas. Players establish island bases for defense, mining, and manufacturing, while resources, fuel, and ammunition shape the campaign’s choices. Carrier and combat units can be outfitted with new weapons and upgrades, and direct control of any unit lets players move from strategic planning into combat. A picture-in-picture interface supports that shift between the strategic map and the action.
The game also offers a strategy campaign that echoes the original 1980s title, letting players set starting conditions and the balance of power before facing an enemy carrier in a strategic duel.
