Card of spirits is a casual strategy game built around a head-to-head card contest. Players keep adding to the value represented on the field, but the aim is not simply to finish with a high total: each turn brings an immediate test against the opponent’s current value. This structure makes the game’s central tension a balance between meeting the present challenge and preserving options for later turns.
On a turn, a player must play a card that raises their total to at least the opponent’s. When the totals tie, both players’ cards on the field are removed and each draws one card. Falling short is decisive: a player loses even if they still hold cards. Ordinary cards are numbered 1 through 8, while J, Q, K and Z are special cards that can reverse the situation. Once both hands are empty, the higher value wins, so surviving each turn’s comparison is part of reaching the final result.
Its compact rules hinge on pressure at every play, tie-driven resets and special cards that can change the balance, rather than on a broad set of documented modes.
