Blur is an arcade racing game that turns races into battles. Its courses span real-world locations from New York and Barcelona to Tokyo and Los Angeles, while a roster of more than 55 licensed cars is presented with photo-realistic styling and advanced damage. Rather than treating speed as the only route to victory, Blur puts attacks and defense directly into the race.
Power-ups include Nitro boosts, Shock attacks, Shields and Mines, giving drivers ways to accelerate, strike rivals, protect themselves or leave hazards behind. The game also lets players combine power-ups for stronger attacks, adding tactical choices to the fight for position. Unlockable Mods offer another way to customize a car and its capabilities, reinforcing the game’s blend of racing and combat.
Blur supports both local and online competition, with four-player split-screen, competitive online races for up to 20 players, and team racing. That range gives the action a social dimension alongside its solo racing premise, while the combination of licensed cars, recognizable locations and weapon-like power-ups sets it apart from a straightforward circuit racer. The central appeal is the constant tension between driving cleanly and using the tools at hand to disrupt opponents.
