Bloons TD Battles 2 turns the familiar tower-defense premise into a direct contest between two players. Each competitor chooses a Hero and a team of Monkey Towers, then holds off incoming Bloons while trying to send pressure toward the other side. That dual objective makes defense only half the plan: players must also decide when to invest in their own setup and when to push an attack.
The game’s strategic choices come from its roster and its economy. It offers 22 Monkey Towers, each with 15 unique upgrades, alongside familiar Heroes and alternate versions with distinct upgrades. A Bloon-sending system ties resource building to attacks, asking players to balance stronger defenses against offensive timing. The result is a one-on-one format built around adapting a customized lineup rather than simply surviving a sequence of waves.
Battles take place across nine arenas, with matchmaking for players of similar rank and progress toward the Hall of Masters. There, competition is organized around a dynamic, Elo-based leaderboard; seasonal badges mark progress, while cosmetic options let players personalize their loadout.
