Blade and Sorcery is a medieval fantasy combat game built exclusively for VR, where melee weapons, ranged attacks and magic meet a physics-driven interaction system. Its defining idea is that combat follows the physical presence and weight of objects rather than relying only on scripted hit effects. Fine hitboxes shape collisions, and the game’s creatures have full-body physics, making physical interaction central to its design.
Weapons can penetrate soft materials, while blades can also deflect magic. These details give the combat a tactile emphasis and leave players to choose their weapon, stance and fighting style. The game offers two contrasting ways to engage with its systems: Crystal Hunt, a progression mode with skills to unlock, and an unrestricted sandbox that provides access to weapons, armour and skills.
Beyond combat, Crystal Hunt sends players through dungeons and into the lore of Byeth, where they can uncover secrets associated with the ancient Dalgarian civilization. Sandbox play, by contrast, lets players configure their abilities and equipment freely. Together, these modes frame Blade and Sorcery as both a fantasy adventure and a physics-focused space for experimenting with weapons, magic and movement in VR. Caveat: the modes differ in how they present progression and access to equipment and skills.
