Biped follows Aku and Sila, two small robots walking side by side on a journey across a mysterious planet. Its playful premise is built around partnership: the pair explore forests, valleys, waterfalls and icy mountains while seeking paths to planetary beacons. Solo play is also offered, so the adventure’s central companionship can be experienced either alone or with another player.
The defining twist is how movement works. Rather than steering a character with conventional movement controls, players guide each robot’s two legs with two sticks or the left and right mouse buttons. Walking and sliding sit alongside practical tasks such as operating machinery and cutting wood, while puzzles call for careful movement through the environment. In two-player co-op, communication and coordination become part of overcoming those challenges, giving the game a tactile, collaborative feel.
Biped supports single-player as well as co-op, including online and shared or split-screen play. Optional customization adds another social flourish, with collectible treasures used to buy hats and match a partner’s look.
