BioShock 2 Remastered sends players back to Rapture, the beautiful but decaying undersea city. The story follows a Big Daddy pursuing an unseen foe after a monster abducts little girls along the Atlantic coast and takes them to the city. Its first-person shooter combat sits alongside a search for answers and survival, tying the action to Rapture’s troubled past.
The Protector Trials offer a distinct combat challenge built around protecting a Little Sister. Players fight to get her to a corpse rich in ADAM and keep her safe while she gathers it, with opposition mounting during the task. Each trial’s weapon and Plasmid load-outs shape the challenge, and completing the earlier load-outs unlocks a bonus one. This objective-driven format puts combat mastery and defense at the center, complementing the narrative campaign’s pursuit through Rapture.
Its remastered presentation also includes high-resolution textures, models and interface art, plus 4K resolution support.
