Big Hops is a 3D platformer and action-adventure about Hop, a young frog kidnapped from home by the trickster spirit Diss. Hop wants to return to his family, but first he must seek Airship Parts across several distinct worlds. Each world has its own story and characters, framing the journey as both a search for a way home and a mystery about Diss’s intentions.
Movement and improvisation define the play. Hop can wall-run, climb, swim, slide, swing and grind, while his tongue pulls objects close, hooks onto walls and powers swings. Veggies add another layer of player-made routes: mushrooms become bounce pads, acorns grow climbable vines, and balloons form temporary platforms. With a backpack for carried items and a broad set of collectibles, the design blends traversal, puzzles and exploration rather than relying on movement alone.
The store information lists both single-player and online co-op. The game’s description also announces Big Hops Together, an overhaul adding online co-op for up to eight players, with shared progression and ways to interact with friends during the adventure.
