Berserk B.I.T.S casts you as a Net Detective responding to email scenarios that send your digital companion into a cyberworld threatened by viruses and cybercrime. The game blends idle-RPG progression with auto-battler combat: train and level up a B.I.T, send it on missions through different biomes, and follow a story that leads toward powerful bosses. Its premise gives routine desktop activity a light role-playing backdrop, with the option to monitor a mission or let your companion handle it while you work in other applications.
Battles are not entirely hands-off. You collect battle chips, build a library of them, and activate them in real time to help your B.I.T, with chips covering upgrades, weapons, summons, and abilities. Alongside the campaign, the game describes side quests, medals for completing tasks, and a customizable Home Net to decorate. Players can also import a custom sprite sheet for a personal B.I.T, adding a creative layer to the progression and collection loop.
The single-player format centers on one player managing their own companion and missions rather than coordinating a group or competing in multiplayer matches.
