Berry Bury Berry is a surreal first-person incremental game built around an unusually direct loop: grow berries, earn money, and put things into a hole. Its bouncy, squishy presentation sets a playful tone against the accursed garden and its buried secrets, giving the routine of cultivation a strange, macabre edge.
Berry Buddies are central to progression. Make and upgrade them to grow higher tiers of berries, then spend the money those crops earn on upgrades and tools intended to increase profits and help explore more of the garden. The game also gives players a growing hole to control, with the stated purpose of burying things deep below. An expansive upgrade tree, unlockable gadgets and tools, and multiple endings round out that progression and exploration framework.
The single-player format makes this a self-directed experience rather than a session organized around competing or cooperating with other players. Its premise ties those systems together through the contrast between cultivating ever-higher berry tiers and deciding what to bury.
