Battlesmiths: Blade and Forge combines town development, hands-on blacksmithing, squad building, and tactical battles in a medieval setting. You develop a settlement and its workshops while crafting the equipment that gives your heroes their fighting styles. Rather than treating weapons and armor as prizes found after a fight, the game makes their creation central to preparing for one.
At the forge, you make and upgrade weapons and armor, apply enchantments, and use runes to influence heroes’ damage and movement. A smithing mini-game lets you take part in making each blade, while crafted goods can also be traded with town residents. That connection between production and combat gives resource management a direct tactical purpose: gear choices help determine how a squad is built before it enters a semi-automatic battle.
You assemble warriors and mages, combining classes, equipment, and runes as you prepare for PvE and PvP encounters. Away from the battlefield, upgrading buildings and masters develops the town and opens further crafting and building technologies. Guilds add a cooperative dimension through shared resources, bonuses, and fights against bosses. The result is a strategy-focused RPG whose defining loop runs from managing a forge and settlement to testing the advantages of your handiwork in battle.
