Ballistic Overkill is a multiplayer shooter built around brisk arena action and modern first-person gunplay. Its pick-up-and-play design puts players straight into combat, while class choice gives each match a distinct tactical flavour. The seven classes range from the Berserker’s close-range rushdown to the Wraith’s ranged assassination, and each offers multiple loadouts to shape a character’s weapons and approach.
Combat unfolds across ten varied maps, including parks, malls, abandoned hospitals and factories, with modes spanning team and solo competition. Team Deathmatch and Free for All sit alongside objective formats such as Capture Point and King of the Hill, plus Rounds and Juggernaut. A progression system makes wins matter, while daily missions offer another goal: completing them awards scrap that can be redeemed for crates. More than 80 weapons and tradeable or sellable skins add further ways to distinguish a loadout.
Its broad mode selection and class-based combat provide useful context for understanding the kind of sessions that activity represents.
