AWA, short for Aircraft Warfare Arcade, is a fast-paced shoot-em-up starring modern military aircraft. Its campaign is arranged across nine stages, and each stage has its own end-level boss, giving the aerial action a clear sequence of set-piece encounters rather than an open-ended flight format.
Players choose from fighter aircraft and earn money through missions, then spend it to upgrade their aircraft or buy weapons and support drones. That progression gives each sortie a practical purpose beyond reaching the next boss. Multi-stage level bosses add another distinctive element, while three difficulty levels offer different degrees of challenge. The game also lists full controller support and TATE mode, a vertical-screen presentation suited to shoot-em-up play.
AWA is explicitly single-player, so its aircraft selection, mission-based upgrades and boss encounters are designed around solo progression rather than team coordination or head-to-head matches.
