Auto Snakes in Outer Space turns a colorful colony of snakes into the centerpiece of a slow, meditative incremental game. They collect food automatically, while the player works to make that process more efficient by increasing their speed and food supply. Its relaxed, gradual rhythm is built around improving a system rather than directing every moment of activity.
There is room to shift between passive and hands-on play: snakes can gather food on their own, or players can guide them with a cursor. While guided, they become slightly magnetic and attract nearby food. Eight abilities offer another layer of control, with auto-casting optional, and prestige lets players reset progress in exchange for permanent perks. Tasks provide goals beyond optimization, unlocking skins that can be assigned randomly or saved as favorites; the game also advertises more than 150 designs, including monochrome options.
The format ranges from self-imposed challenges, such as playing with only one snake or without abilities, to Endless Mode, which unlocks after beating the game. A playable piano adds a playful detour from the colony-management loop.
