ATOM RPG: Trudograd is a stand-alone story expansion to ATOM RPG, set in a post-apocalyptic Soviet Union. You play an ATOM agent sent to a vast city that survived nuclear destruction and social collapse, searching for what may be humanity’s last hope against a threat from outer space. The story continues the previous game’s events, and the store recommends playing ATOM RPG first for context.
Its classic cRPG inspiration comes through in a turn-based roleplaying format built around exploration, encounters and consequential conversations. The city and its surroundings include populated locations, combat-focused areas and varied settings such as Soviet military bunkers, while quests can offer multiple solutions and outcomes. Dialogue branches, visual text quests and a broad selection of weapons and customizable exoskeleton armor give players several ways to engage with the setting and its conflicts.
Trudograd supports either a new character or continuing with an ATOM RPG character by importing a save made after defeating that game’s final boss. That choice makes this a single-player RPG with a connected narrative, rather than a shared-world or competitive experience.
