When the Kark Isles appear near Ryza’s hometown, she and her friends investigate and find ruins with a huge gate. A strange voice tells Ryza to reach the Code of the Universe, launching an adventure centered on a Key and the roots of alchemy. The looming threat to their home gives the mystery a personal stake, while the gate and the voice establish questions that drive the journey.
Exploration unfolds across a vast open field, where multiple maps connect seamlessly and players can travel between areas without loading-screen transitions. The Key system also links several parts of play: keys have different types and effects, and can be used in exploration, synthesis, and combat. That design gives the central object a practical role beyond its place in the story. The party brings together returning characters and new key figures, with eleven members in total.
The premise and systems point toward a journey combining investigation, open-field travel, alchemy, and combat. Ryza and her friends pursue the meaning of the Code while seeking a way to save their home, with the Keys serving as a recurring tool across the adventure’s activities.
