Asterigos: Curse of the Stars follows Hilda, a young warrior from the Northwind Legion who travels to the cursed city of Aphes to find her missing father. Inspired by classical Greek designs, the city links contrasting districts and hidden routes into a world of exploration, while conversations, documents, cinematics, and Hilda’s diary gradually reveal its history. Choices also shape the story and its outcome, giving the journey a narrative dimension beyond its battles.
Combat blends soulslike inspiration with a lighter, dynamic action-RPG approach. Hilda can carry two weapon types at once and switch between six options, including sword and shield, dual blades, spear, hammer, staff, and magic bracelets. That flexibility lets players adapt their fighting style, while encounters with varied monsters and bosses put the different weapons to work. Exploration adds side quests and collectibles, and the game also offers New Game+ and the Gauntlet of the Stars boss-rush mode.
Its appeal is rooted in the combination of weapon-switching combat, interconnected exploration, and decisions that affect Hilda’s story. Aphes is not merely a backdrop: uncovering the truth behind its curse is central to the journey, alongside testing combat skills against its formidable inhabitants.
