Assetto Corsa EVO is a racing simulation built around cars from different eras and classes, with vehicle behaviour shaped by mechanical, electronic and aerodynamic simulation. Its circuits are made using laser scanning, and its updated racing-slick tyre model aims to improve handling consistency across GT cars, from the Mazda MX5 Cup to the Ferrari F40. That focus on fidelity gives the game a more measured character than a simple race-to-the-finish format: car response and circuit conditions are central to the experience.
Its Special Events set every entrant the same car, track, conditions and time of day, then compare results on worldwide leaderboards. Hotlap asks for a single definitive lap; Hotstint follows gaps to nearby drivers at each sector line over a sustained run. An optional Limited Attempts setting can make each effort count. In timed online races longer than twenty minutes, mandatory pitstops add planning: drivers use the MFD to choose a stop lap, tyres, pressures and fuel load within a server-configured window. These formats pair individual performance challenges with multiplayer strategy.
