Set in Victorian London, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate follows twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they take on the city’s dangerous underworld. The open-world setting stretches from Buckingham Palace to Big Ben, with the siblings bringing contrasting approaches to its conflicts: Jacob is a brash brawler, while Evie specializes in stealth and silent strikes.
That split shapes the action. Jacob can chain fast multikills and countermoves with his weapons; Evie’s strengths favor a quieter approach. Traversal and missions also draw on the city’s bustle: players can parkour across moving vehicles, hijack carriages for street races, and ride steamboats along the Thames. Taking over enemy strongholds and robbing trains are among the activities tied to building a gang capable of challenging rival forces.
Its distinctive appeal is the combination of two playable combat styles with a dense urban playground, where movement, gang conflict, and the choice between direct fighting and stealth all help define the experience.
