Asguaard sets a world-ending crisis in motion when the Pandora Box is opened, unleashing successive plagues across a land inhabited by fairies, dwarves and other legendary beings. With its people unable to stop the disaster, a gathering of fairies summons a human, whose soul is presented as a power the Asguaard inhabitants lack. The adventure follows that figure into a story framed around friendship, passion and heroism.
Exploration is a major part of the design: the game describes a large, open-ended world with hundreds of locations and secret places to find. Character development reaches beyond weapon skills, with specialties including telepathy, botany, kindness and looting. Players can rename their character, choose each party member’s weapon type and build relationships through a distinctive friendship system. Travel by balloon and the ability to summon creatures in battle add further variety to the fantasy journey.
The game offers four difficulty modes, including Story Mode, and presents learning as a progression through Expert, Master and Guru levels. Achievements, collectible runes and ground icons that boost attack power round out the documented systems, alongside a plot about teaching magic and fighting to two humans.
