Anomaly Korea takes the invader’s side in a battle against alien forces: players lead a squad through districts occupied by hostile robots. This is an expansion campaign to Anomaly Warzone Earth, bringing the series’ reversed tower-defense premise into a new conflict. Rather than building defenses against an advancing force, you direct a unit through danger and try to break through.
The action is viewed from above, but success depends on planning as much as combat. Assemble your squad, plot a route on the tactical map, and choose when to use powers such as Boost, which speeds up your unit’s offense. The campaign features new units and powers alongside new enemy threats, while resource use also matters: the game asks players to spend money and powers wisely as they push forward.
Alongside its campaign, Anomaly Korea includes Art of War trials for players looking to test their leadership skills. The combination of route planning, squad direction, and timed powers is what distinguishes its tower-offense approach from the defensive setup the genre is known for.
