Anomaly Collapse builds its strategy around an unusual one-dimensional battlefield grid. With movement constrained, positioning becomes the central puzzle: players plan around flanking, backstabbing and cornering opponents rather than relying on a broad field of maneuver. The result is a focused tactical premise where each move can reshape a face-off.
Team building adds another layer. Players choose three furry fighters, each with a distinct class and traits, then look for combinations that make their abilities work together. Artifacts called “abnormalities” can have active or passive effects, and the game encourages collecting and mixing them to support different plans. Sudden bizarre, challenging or comical events can also alter battlefield dynamics, making flexibility part of the design rather than an afterthought.
Its appeal rests on adapting a compact team and a changing set of battlefield conditions: careful positioning, complementary fighters and timely use of abnormalities all contribute to each encounter’s strategy.
