Among Us 3D brings the familiar crew-versus-Impostor setup into a three-dimensional party game for four to ten players. Crewmates work through tasks or try to eject the Impostor, while the opposing role sabotages, deceives, and eliminates the crew. Its first-person controls reshape classic tasks, and the warning that someone may be lurking around a corner gives movement and observation a more immediate place in the deduction.
The familiar ingredients remain: tasks, sabotage, Emergency Meetings, and venting. Players can also choose from different formats, including Tag Mode, where Infected try to catch and infect the Crewmates before they finish a set number of tasks. Roles add further variation, with options such as the Engineer, Wraith, and Vigilante. Custom lobbies let groups personalize gameplay, comfort, and moderation settings, while proximity voice chat, Quick Text Chat, and gestures provide different ways to communicate.
Among Us 3D also supports native crossplay with Among Us 3D: VR, but not with the original Among Us. Its distinct identity rests on familiar deception mechanics presented through three-dimensional, first-person play rather than a direct crossplay extension of the earlier game.
