Aliens vs. Predator frames its conflict around Freya’s Prospect, a colony surrounded by deadly jungles and swamps. Its three single-player campaigns shift the player between Marine, Predator and Alien, giving the familiar science-fiction war sharply different points of view rather than treating its combatants as interchangeable.
As a Marine, limited light and a claustrophobic atmosphere make visibility part of the tension, while high-explosive and automatic weapons offer a heavily armed response. The Predator instead stalks from shadows and treetops, using tracking equipment and exotic weapons before closing in for face-to-face trophies. Playing as an Alien turns the hunt around: you become the creature in the dark, attacking with jaws and claws alongside others of your species.
That three-sided contrast carries into online play, where the game offers modes built around pitting all three species against one another. Steam Cloud stores game stats and skill information for matchmaking purposes.
