Alien Hominid Invasion casts players as an alien helping a Mothership invade Earth while human agents try to stop them. The cartoonish premise feeds into a mission-based action game: players sabotage enemy plans, confront bosses, and push through neighborhoods assembled from hand-crafted city blocks. Its mix of focused missions and changing routes gives the invasion a sense of progression without making every outing follow the same path.
Combat builds around experimenting with weapons, boosts, and alien mutations. Completing missions and leveling up opens customization choices, while destroying enemy headquarters unlocks additional mutations. Those forms can add abilities such as super speed, healing, or flight, so adapting an alien’s loadout is part of shaping a preferred playstyle. Difficulty is also adjustable per player, letting people with different comfort levels share a session without requiring them to choose the same challenge.
The game supports single-player as well as cooperative play, with up to four players able to join online, on the couch, or through a combination of both.
