AK-xolotl: Together builds its action around an unlikely sharpshooter: an axolotl carrying an AK. This top-down roguelite shooter sends players through randomly generated rooms and varied biomes, where they battle enemies, gather food and capture baby axolotls. Its cute amphibian cast sits alongside a deliberately chaotic combat premise, giving the game a playful contrast between adorable creatures and heavy firepower.
Runs are shaped by a cycle of defeat and return. The axolotl can regenerate after being knocked down, come back stronger and unlock weapons through repeated fights. Captured Axolittles can be raised at the pond and later become fighters with their own abilities; eggs and cooking add further progression, with recipes described as permanent stat improvements. Players can choose between weapons such as the Axe-alotl and Phaser, while power-ups offer additional ways to build up their firepower.
The Together format adds online or local co-op, letting a friend join the fight as a second axolotl. Its broader design still centers on repeatable combat, returning stronger, and developing new fighters between encounters.
