Decades after the Necroa Virus devastates humanity, survivors emerge into a post-apocalyptic United Kingdom that is green and beautiful but still dangerous. After Inc: Revival turns that premise into a settlement-building strategy game: players establish communities, explore the ruins, and gather resources while working to rebuild society. Its contrast between a lush landscape and lingering threats frames reconstruction as more than simply putting buildings back in place.
Daily survival is shaped by practical needs and difficult social choices. Players can build firepits, kitchens, and workshops to satisfy settlers, while fighters can be trained and upgraded to confront zombie infestations. Decisions about children, dogs, and forms of government give the settlement’s development a civic dimension alongside its resource management. Across multiple settlements, leaders and population traits help evolve a wider civilization, while campaigns reveal what happened to the world.
The game’s structure ranges from goal-driven levels across three campaigns to Sandbox mode, which allows building without goals or impatience. Expeditions offer new content in dangerous regions, and Escape Hatch remixes levels; a Scenario Creator and Steam Workshop support custom scenarios.
