Across the Obelisk sends a party into Senenthia to rescue the king’s daughter from Lord Hanshek. Its roguelite structure makes each journey a fresh strategic problem: procedurally generated events and consequential choices shape the route and story, while the destination remains fixed. The changing paths give the adventure its tension, asking players to weigh helping the realm against pursuing loot.
Combat centers on coordinating four heroes and building decks from a broad selection of cards and items. Players can take sole control of the party or join online co-op with friends, where class combinations and shared decisions add a collaborative layer to planning. Heroes belong to four classes, and tactical battles, upgrades, and new card-and-item combinations support experimentation across runs. Bosses and quests punctuate the journey, while choices can affect how the story unfolds.
Three modes give the game different formats: its story-led quest, Obelisk mode’s drafted decks and randomized adventure, and a weekly challenge with a predetermined deck and map.
