Above Snakes is an isometric, Wild West-inspired adventure RPG that pairs worldbuilding with mild survival. Rather than exploring a fixed landscape, you shape a world from individual pieces, choosing among more than 100 pieces with different biomes and combinations. The setting’s dangers include harsh elements and Lost Souls, while a light story follows a young woman caught in a conflict.
Progress grows from practical routines as much as combat. Gather biome-specific materials, then craft tools, weapons, meals, and increasingly advanced gear. Hunt and fish for food, establish crop farms from found seeds, and tend them with water and fertilizer. A modular building system lets you expand an outpost with workstations such as a workbench, saw mill, furnace, and anvil; furniture and gardens add a personal touch. Quests can be completed at your own pace, alongside exploration and long-term progression.
That format fits a game centered on shaping a personal world, managing a base, and following quests at an individual pace. Its mix of survival crafting and relaxed customization gives players several connected ways to spend time, from farming and cooking to fighting Lost Souls.
