9th Dawn Remake sends players to investigate the disappearance of Montelorne’s lighthouse keeper and a growing evil tied to the Castle of Maltyr. This remake revisits the 2012 original with an updated story and larger dungeons, framing its open world around exploration, danger and the search for loot.
Character growth combines build choices with practical preparation: unlock spells and abilities, assign attribute points, upgrade equipment, forge weapons and brew potions. Players can also hatch creature eggs and raise the resulting pets as allies in battle. More than 45 hand-crafted dungeons, village side quests and collecting journals broaden the adventure beyond its central investigation. Its card-building and fishing minigames offer different diversions, including card champions to develop and waves of enemy fish to survive.
Local multiplayer requires a separate controller. Across those formats, the design centers on exploring Montelorne, building a capable character and creature team, and taking on its dungeons and monsters.
