7 Days Blood Moons frames its zombie apocalypse as an asymmetrical contest: players can fight as survivors in a 4v1 PvP match or take the role of the Zombie Hive Master in PvE against AI. Its mix of first-person action, survival horror, real-time strategy and tower defense gives the game a split identity. One side tries to endure the night together; the other directs the threat closing in on them.
Survivors scavenge supplies, craft weapons, fortify structures and set traps before zombie waves arrive. They can also repair defenses and heal fallen teammates, while unlockable weapons, perks and gear support preparation for later matches. The Hive Master approaches the same battlefield from above, planning spawn points and issuing commands, then can possess zombies in third person to attack directly. Harvesting human remains unlocks additional zombie minions, giving this role its own progression path.
Store categories also list multiplayer, online PvP and online co-op, alongside single-player. These labels describe the available play formats, while the core premise remains a contest over whether survivors can hold their defenses through the bloodmoon.
