Joe’s hidden heist loot is the center of a tense contest between Alcatraz and San Francisco. Serving time for an armored-truck robbery, he is the only one who knows where the money remains. His wife Christine, his former accomplices, and others are also pursuing it, giving the adventure stakes beyond escape: loyalty, revenge, and greed shape who might claim the fortune.
This single-player point-and-click adventure combines puzzles, dialogue, and consequential decisions. Joe and Christine are both playable, and choices influence the plot and lead to different endings. Their perspectives make the central question more than whether Joe can get out: Christine may help him, deceive him, or leave with Joe’s former accomplices. The branching story gives its crime premise a personal conflict, with outcomes shaped by decisions rather than by competition between players.
The setting draws on 1950s San Francisco, with hand-drawn backdrops based on locations including North Beach and Alcatraz, rendered in a gritty comic style. Its cast includes brutal felons, snoops, and cops, while Beatnik culture and contemporary themes add texture to the city around the couple.
