Dollhouse is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game set inside a house of horrors, where victims compete to escape while killers hunt them. Its premise makes survival a contest between hiding from danger and taking the offensive: victims can scavenge for weapons and pursue their own escape at others’ expense. The game describes each match as a deathmatch, with only a limited group able to get out.
A distinctive twist changes the roles as the match unfolds. The game’s killer hunts from the outset; after the first two victims die, they become hunters, while the third victim to fall returns as a cop tasked with protecting those still alive. This shifting balance turns each elimination into a change in the threat, rather than simply removing a player from the action.
Darkness shapes the search: a torch helps illuminate the house, but its light can reveal a player’s position to lurking enemies. Randomly spawning weapons and items offer tools for survival, while six modes broaden the format beyond the core asymmetrical horror setup, including gun game, close-quarters deathmatch, Infected, imposters, and battle royale.
